Okay so we really need to work on a quilt for my boys. A couple friends were over tonight and they noticed the exquisite color coordination, the incredible design (mom+dad=), and the detail of the BABY embroidery on the quilt that the boys use. We must make one to compete! Will you help me?!?! Love you Em!

Thought of you today, so we went to Olive Garden in Prescott. Took Gpa & Gma for Gpa's 78th bday. Dad spilled a full glass of peach tea in Gpa's lap, Gpa let out a yell, & almost fell out of his chair. Made such a commotion, almost got thrown out of the restaurant-jk. We laughed so hard we cried. Steve,Jac,Chase,Jake, & Brett went to the Prescott rodeo & Oilve Garden w/us. Miss you a bunch!!! <3 <3
Happy 4th Emmy! We had a great time in Prescott except when Gpa kept calling our server Brandon by the name of Bruce and almost getting us kicked out of the restaurant! I ate lots of salad for you...but definitely not 7 bowls! Praying for you!

Haven't heard much from you, are you ok?? The fireworks behind El Encanto were amazing, so close we were coated in ash, smoke, etc. Small fires started in the brush. The grand finale was kind of scary, we could feel the heat!! Look forward to hearing from you soon. Did you do the Rio Salado college credits stuff for CBU?

hi everyone!
we have been soooooo busy... we get about 45 minutes to do whatever we want during our 7:30-1:00 in the morning long daysssssssss. so i use that to sleep and shower usually. umm im tired... and hungry. weve definitely eaten all of our food pretty much. maybe a protein bar or two left. ive made some good friendships. foods not too bad. im super tired. oh ya and some medicine im taking makes me sensative to the sun... so my nose is burnt and my toes? weird places and it sucks! we go swimming in the lake a lot ... its green .. but fun. my favorite part of the day is at night we have a lettle youth group kind of thing and afterwards a discussion group of about 8 girls im with along with val, janet and jen ... its amazing what God has been doing in their hearts. on monday we had trouble even mentioning God without them automatically responding with he doesnt exist and last night all the girls were in tears, we talked for hours and discussed indepth the life and death of jesus, gods view of sex, drinking, and what is like to be a christian... we talked for hours.... then went looking for hedgehogs, we caught one.. i am so bringing one home.

by the way. pretty much everyday we all have cravings for olive garden. chipotle. in n out. and any kind of food that doesnt involve potatoes or some form of the last mean in cole slaw. i would kill for a salad and a bottle of ranch to cover my food in... but surprisingly the food is pretty alright

What an adventure! Hedgehogs, sunburn nose & toes, swimming in a green lake--sounds like the basis for a new song!! So excited to hear about your small group--Wow, God's hand is upon you, Jen, Janet, Val, & everyone else in the group!. God has equipped you & chosen you to be in Latvia today!! I am so thankful for your obedience & willingness to step out of your comfort zone (bed, in&out burger, Olive Garden, etc) to serve God & others. We'll see what we can do about those OG, & in&out cravings when you get home. You are an awesome daughter, love you & miss you.

Hey Emily! Glad to hear you guys got there all right and are having so much fun with the Latvian kids. Hope you are having success with them, since they have grown up without God or religion. It looks like you're having lots of fun, with the slip'n'slide and the hedgehog! I should have packed even more food bars for you guys since it sounds like you've eaten all of them! I don't blame you for craving Olive Garden and In-n-Out. Hope you and Jen are having a good time, and when you get back, come over and we'll swim. Let us know how everything is going. We miss you guys!
Miss Em, you have been on my heart and in my prayers. I look at your Pray Latvia picture every day and pray for God's will to be done through you and Jen. You are my hero and I am in awe of your maturity in Christ at your age.
I'm glad to hear you are eating-do they have yummy yogurt? And what did I read? you eating protein bars? Oh, I had an In-N-Out today; it was delicious:)
Thank you mom for e-mailing the information to read these postings and send Em a note. I will continue to pray for your safety and the work God is doing there. Praise God the girls are listening to the Word and God's plan for salvation-You are saving lives.

You are lagging in your comments, would be nice to hear back from you : ) Hopefully your schedule will lighten up a little. It was great to hear Jon's voice during church Sunday. We all got weepy when he spoke to Amanda (the trooper)--we sure love that family! So many people are excited about your trip & experiences. Your willingness to serve is a witness to many here at home. Regarding the green lake-- are you getting any dives in & should I have a doctor's apptmt. scheduled for your return?? Hailey's mom heard you were having trouble w/the ATT phone card. She said to just use Hailey's card & we will pay her $$. I will try to get by Costco for a MCI card or call ATT for better instructions.

PATTY HAS A NEW HOME
This evening Patty was adopted by a nice man and his daughter. Danielle will be a senior at Sunrise Mountain this Fall and Patty will be her first car. She jumped up and down when her Dad said yes. I knew how important it was to you that Patty go to a nice family, and she did! Olive juice!
I love you, Emily!! Thank you for keeping Jon in line . . . you know how I worry about that while he is away from me!!
Just the other night I noticed Connor's "I love Emily" message on the marker board in his room. It is true, though! He can pick you out of a crowd in a Latvia picture. He knows you are a sweetie!!

So good to talk to you today!!! You sounded really tired, but still excited.
Keep eating the food--dill seasoning won't hurt you & I won't cook potatoes w/gravy when you get home, try to find some Off bug repellant for to ward off bug bites, & maybe stay out of the green lake.
Keep up the good work even though this week of VBS is more difficult than English camp. Satan is trying to wear you down & discourage you. We will continue to pray for strength & for that hedge of protection to keep you from the evil one.

Hi Emily! Glad to hear that the camp was such a success. Not sure what day you guys leave, but hope you have a safe trip to London and back home!
So, my friend's friend is Zac's mom- something like that... Anyway, we were talking about different things and she mentioned the trip and found out the link there...kind of cool. Just wanted to leave you a message. Going through all of the comments, I had to stop at the one you talked about the small groups. You captivate people not only with how you speak, but also HOW you listen. It sounds as if God is reminding you of that with your small group times, but I just wanted to encourage you in that. Little do we truly listen to each other, and so when you sit down with those girls and you truly listen to what's on their heart, I guarantee they are breaking wide open simply because they see God's heart for them through your ability to just be available. Even if it's someone on the team, realize God is working through you constantly, even when it might not be "ministry" time. My group is praying for you.
