welp, i'm pretty nervous and pretty HAPPY for this trip this summer. i still can't believe my parents let me go! haha. but i think that just reminds me how lucky i am and we all our to be able to go to latvia this summer. every meeting the reality just hits me...its amazing. :] thank you for all your prayers, and plllllease keep checking our blog!!!

I wrote earlier this morning on the main blog but I didn't realize I could write directly to you. I heard about your toe at church this morning. I pray it gets better, but if not don't be afraid to go to the hospital to get it checked, you might need an antibiotic. Besides the toe, I hope you are having a good time. We miss you, and yes we liked the CD. We won't be at church next Sunday when you guys get to talk over the web to us, Lorie and JR will be there though. I will keep in touch from WA. I love you! Mom

Hi Madison,
I hope your toe nail was taken care off. I have the same problem. You need to soak it in warm water first to soften the nail and use a germ killer,either peroxide, iodine of some sort to kill off any infection. Once the nail is soaked and softens, begin to cut is off from the top of your toe nail (if you can) and work your way to where it is ingrown. From the top to the right or to the left. This works to keep it so that it does not grow back into the side...Feel better, prayers from the Hennke's.
wow. jon said that my toe comment caused some commotion on the blog...i guess he was right. hahaha. actually, val tried pulling it out...and i screamed. ugh. and the pastor here helped me wrap it and pour peroxide on it...hopefully it will help. it still hurts though. and it doesn't help that everyone steps on it during worship. :]

Hey Madison,
We arrived last night. The plane ride was great. It was so cool to land in Portland at 9:45pm and see all the fireworks all over the place in the sky. People here can do their own fireworks from their houses. (and I mean serious shoot um high in the sky kind!) You would have a blast. The weather is coolish today and overcast. Once again you would love it. Keeley is so cute! She is starting to warm up to us. We all got on Debbies computer and spoke to Grandma through the webcam. She was so funny! Can never seem to make the thing work. Oh well, I hope you are having fun. We will talk to you soon. I love you - mom

i'm home now!!! i actually have time to sit and read all the the amazing comments!! thank you guys so much!!!! all your encourgaing comments really helped me during the hard long days! the trip was amazing. we were all so touched by all those kids. i pray that we get to go back next year or anytime! thanks for all the support and prayer!!!!
